Brief Answer:
Do not add up medicines without doctor's advise.

Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
* Domstal is an anti emetic drug .It helps in control of vomitting, indigestion .It works at brain center to relieve the symptoms.
Emset is also a drug for controlling/preventing nausea&vomitting after conditions like chemotherapy or surgery.
Both the drugs have side effects to cause drowsiness, dry mouth or low blood pressure when given in excessive doses.
I would suggest not to mix up both together.....If at all you want to try it ...it should be with a gap of minimum 6 hours.
* Another possibility is ,the pill of Domstal was expelled out without notice...that's why no responce..In such a case a doctor's advise is needful ,before repeating pill again or adding new medicine.Doctor would check blood pressure, ascertain your son's general condition before repeating the dose.
* Giving oral liquid before effect of drug sets in...may increase vomitting&expulsion of pills.(ORT water can be given sip by sip only .)
For uncontrolled vomitting I v drip is preferred over oral ORT.
**In this scenario...I would suggest to give him rest for an hour, sip by sip of water...if he feels thirsty...
-Let him suck a pill of Gelusil or a pill of Histac 150mg to control hyper acidity causing vomitting.
When there is no vomitting for one hour..
he can be given ice cold milk with sugar /icecream..sip by sip &wait for one more hour for responce.
* in case vomitting does not stop./increases...
take him to ER for doctor's advise&I V drip along with needful injectable antiemetic drug..
I hope that helps. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
