Question : I want to go for a Limberg Flap procedure after 14 days of polidinal abscess drainage surgery. Is this procedure risky and do i need to choose my surgeon carefully? my current surgeon is a general surgeon who did the abscess drainage and im not sure about his experience in plastic surgery is going to a plastic surgeon specialist very imporntant? any complciations after this surgery? please help me decide about the surgery.

Limberg flap is not a very risky procedure and can be done by general surgeon but choosing a plastic surgeon may be even better.
The most common complications after the surgery are infection of the wound and reoccurrence.
Limberg flap is a plastic surgery procedure and a plastic surgeon may have more experience on doing it .
I believe that a plastic surgeon may be your choice about it.
