Brief Answer:
It can be taken at any time without any specifc number of hours apart

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Tramadol is an opioid agonist. It is used as pain killer. If it is taken as needed without doctor's supervision, it may cause tolerance, dependance and withdrawal features on long run.

If you are taking lexapro 10 mg in afternoon as per doctor's advice it is ok.

Xanax is a benzodiazepine. It is used as anti anxiety and sedative. It is very potent and short acting medicine. If it is taken as needed without doctor's supervision, it also causes tolerance, dependance and withdrawal features on long run.

So better to inform your treating doctor if you want to take tramadol and xanax on as needed basis. If any serious side effect occurs, your treating doctor can immediately help you.And you also can take it without becoming dependent on these medicines under doctor's supervision.

If I were your treating doctor I would allow tramadol as needed only if there is severe pain and xanax only if it is needed on daily basis. For as needed basis I would like to use clonazepam instead of xanax.

(Note: There is no likely significant interaction between above 3 medicines you take them simultaneously or any number hours apart.)

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
