Brief Answer:
Eliquis is enough for the prevention of blood clotting

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Both aspirin and eliquis (apixaban) are used to prevent blood clotting. They are both effective drugs that used to prevent stroke or systemic embolism. Eliquis is a novel medicine. It is superior to aspirin especially in elderly that eliquis has less risk of bleeding.

I agree with your doctor, if you are taking eliquis, it is enough for the prevention of blood clotting. Taking low dose aspirin (baby aspirin) and eliquis together increases risk of bleeding (nosebleed or intracranial bleed).

Eliquis may rarely cause feeling of tiredness. This side effect is usually temporarily. If tiredness persists you should get complete blood count test, blood chemistry tests and thyroid function tests to find out underlying cause for tiredness. For your chest, please, consult with your doctor and get ECG. The pain is not likely from eliquis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you
