Question: Can I take Vicodin for brake through pain when I am taking ultram 50 mg 4 times a day for cervical radiculopathy c-2, c-3 c-4 with bone spers as results of a MRI of 8/20/14

After taking Ultram on a regular basis you can take Vicodin occasionally to control the breakthrough pain. But for cervical radiculopathy it will be better to take a muscle relaxant like Cataflam as it will help in reducing the muscle spasm. You can also start with isometric neck exercises after the acute pain subsides for a long term relief. Do consider consulting a physiotherapist for cervical traction also.
Doing a hot fomentation with a hot water bag and applying a local analgesic gel is also another way of reducing the pain and soothing your stiff neck muscles.
To reduce the nerve related pain do get methylcobalamin supplements and drugs like Pregabalin prescribed from your orthopedician.
