Question : Can I take Excedrin with Loratadine? I was sneezing and I have a itchy throat and nose so I took a store brand antihistamine. That was about 3 hours ago. I now have a headache, am stuffed up and feel like I have a fever. Would Excedrin be a good thing to take? I have either that or Ibuprofen and that's it.

Hi,

the excedrin contains NSAID and caffeine. This will help in reducing the inflammation and also pain due to inflammation. For itching, sneezing running nose loratidine will be good.

So for now you can take this combination for current illness. But if infection you may require antibiotic. Along with this do salt water gargle and steam inhalation. This will give maximum comfort.

I took the excedrin 4 hours ago and the antihistamine 7 hours ago. I'm now trying to sleep. Can I take Nyquil

Hi,

It's not required. Only if the symptoms worsens or persists then you can take. After 8 hours of previous drug you can continue only with nyquil without other 2drugs as this contains the combination of NSAID and antihistamine.

You can sleep now without any other drugs.
