Question : Can I take my ct scan without the barium they asked me to consume? There’s just too much negative info about this solution. My doctor has not responded yet.

If you have allergies better don't use it.

Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.

It is true that barium contrast has different side effects but if the benefits are greater than side effects you may need to use it.
If you have allergies from other medications , food colours or preservatives you should consult your doctor and he may recommend you to do it without contrast.
Asthma, allergies, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, intolerance may be causes to not use barium contrast.
You can't substitute a contrast scanner with a min contrast one without doing a good consultation with doctor.
