Question : I am into my 9th month with a severe case of PHN. Can I use lyrica and gabapenten together and how effect is the use of pepper patchs
Brief Answer:
Yes. Discussion follows
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I accept that PHN is a very painful condition which is some times difficult to treat.
Lyrica and Gabapentin both belong to the same group and act in a similar way by modulating the neural transmission of pain sensation. There is no adverse interaction between the two. If there is not enough pain control, adding Cymbalta may help. Please discuss with your doctor.
Capsaicin skin patches may also help to reduce the pain.
