Brief Answer:
Yes, IV contrast can cause a rash!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

IV contrast agents especially those containing Iodine do cause allergy that can present as a rash. If you had a rash after receiving an IV contrast, then that is pretty much in line with documented history. I will like to know the exact product you were administered. Also, kindly upload an image of this rash for a more personalized and helpful response.

You do not need to see a specialist for this. As the contrast agent gets eliminated, the rash will gradually run its course and gets resolved spontaneously.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
