Brief Answer:
Needs more details about the severity and duration of pain..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have read your query in detail and can very well understand your concerns..

Yes, Ibuprofen can be taken to relieve moderate pain and inflammation but I still need some more information to advise you better.

As per your complain it seems that you have a deep cavity in your tooth that has involved the nerves present in the central portion of the tooth and irritation of nerves is causing pain. You are taking Acemiz Plus that is a combination of Acelofenac and Acetaminophen and are capable of reducing mild to moderate pain condition..

I would like to know from you the following:

-That whether the pain is moderate or is very severe in nature?
-Is it a continuous pain or intermittent in nature?
-Does the pain increases on lying down?
-From how many days is the pain persistent?
-Is there any swelling present on cheek?
-As you have consulted a doctor/dentist what did they say about proceeding towards treatment or just prescribed medicine?

Kindly answer the following so that I can guide you better towards treatment of pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..

Pain is severe, pain killers don't seem to work the way they should. Took first doze of 250 mg amoxicillin along with another ibuprofen. Also applying dologel.

Brief Answer:
Requires treatment of the tooth..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..

I am really sorry for the pain and discomfort that you are experiencing..

I would like to tell you that as you have taken 250 mg amoxicillin, it is a lesser dose for an adult and you should take 500mg amoxicillin.
Other thing is that you can take Ibuprofen but it will also not be able to completely relieve severe pain and to control severe pain you can take Tramadol which is a Narcotic painkiller and is capable of reducing heavy pain also..
But as it is narcotic painkiller it should be taken only for a short duration as it can cause addiction if taken for long..
So better take it for 5 days only..

Another thing that I would like to tell you is that as you have a deep infection in your tooth it will be better to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and also
he /she may advise you to get an IOPAR [x ray] of the tooth done..

If the tooth is in the condition to be saved Root canal treatment can help in relieving pain permanently..

In case if the tooth is extensively decayed extraction can provide relief..

As the medicines can only provide you temporary relief you can take medicine for 5 days and within this duration get your tooth treated for permanent relief..

Any further question are welcome..

I will be happy to help..

Wishing you a quick recovery and a good health..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..

Brief Answer:
Doses are described below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome Again..

You can take Amoxicillin 500 mg thrice a day and Tramadol 50 mg thrice a day for 5 days and should not exceed the dose and should be taken only if it does not cause any allergic reaction after taking the first dose..

Further questions are welcome..

If your query is resolved kindly write a positive review and give a Five Star Rating as a token of appreciation and encouragement..

Wishing you a good health..
