Brief Answer:
perhaps
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
if you're having diarrhea immodium can be used unless:
- you have fever
- you have blood in the stool
- the stool does not look normal (looks like mucus)
Fever and blood in the stool may be signs of serious gastroenteritis or colitis. In such cases immodium may cause trouble and is contraindicated.
Mucus in the stool (without stool that is) may be caused by bowel obstruction (which also causes nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention, etc) and drugs like immodium are contraindicated.
Otherwise immodium will help with the stool consistency and movement frequency.
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
