Avoid iron tabs in mild anemia in first trimester.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) Iron tablets SHOULDN'T be taken in first trimester. It may cause miscarriage and birth defect. It is taken after 14 weeks. Nausea and vomiting may increase and worsen the thing.
2) You can take IRON rich food stuffs like apples, bananas, Jaggery, green leafy vegetables, soybeans, dried peaches, almonds, lentils, tofu, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, broccoli, beans, dark chocolate, peas etc. They will definitely correct deficiency and restore body iron.
3) Mild anemia can be compensated with above food stuffs. Moderate to severe anemia should be treated carefully after consultation with treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Wish your good health and take care. Let me know if there's any further queries..
Regards
