Question : Hi,
I had a drink 6 hours ago. I don't take klonopin regularly, but I took one now (its 2AM) because I was having trouble sleeping, but I forgot about the drink. Can I go to sleep without being worried about comma or respiratory issues?

Brief Answer:
Dangerous combination

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns .. since you have taken the alcohol only 6 hours ago , then probably about 50% of your alcohol intake was eliminated from your body . However still some central nervous system depressant effect will still be present.
klonopin ia also a CNS depressant so, mixing alcohol and Klonopin even in small doses can increase the individual’s drowsiness or sleepiness, leading to a lack of coordination and a risk of a serious fall injury. This can also mean the person will be difficult to wake up, which could lead to coma. Also Depressed breathing or difficulty breathing is a dangerous side effect of mixing alcohol and Klonopin which manifests as pale or clammy skin, or blue tinting around the lips or under the fingernails. I would recommend that you keep yourself in company during the following 6-8 hours and monitor yourself , if you experience any of the above side effects then seek medical attention
