if on levo, this can give false ketones in urine
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
There is not likely to be any link between the parkinsons itself and the urine results.
(A)Levodopa can cause false positive results for ketones in the urine- meaning falsely indicating that ketones are present.
Ketones are found in the urine when ,for some reason, the body is not using carbohydrates for energy but is using substances called fatty acid.
This can occur in diabetes or also if there has been a reduction in the amount of carbohydrates used in food/drink.
Other rare causes are:(1) vomiting and diarrhea (2) high fat diet (3) high levels of thyroid hormone
(B)Cloudy urine can occur with : (1)infection of the urinary tract,
(2)blood in the urine though this would have been picked up with urine test
(3)slight dehydration
(4)in some cases , may indicate stones as well
The urine may need to go to the lab for further analyses, this would definitely determine if there are any issues that need treatment. It would give more information than the urinalysis.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
