Brief Answer:
diabetes is a chronic disease.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX hi! you are diabetic managed on metformin. diabetes is a state of insulin deficiency or insulin resistance. you seem to have type 2 so metformin is working for you. please do not think of discontinuing the medicines. your fasting is still high. you need to check your HbA1c and let me know. start regular exercise and try to lose some weight. that might prevent your medicines from increasing.
healthy diet avoiding sweets, fried food, junk food and sweetened drinks and juices. no ice creams and chocolates.
lots of water and salads.
fruits in moderation. one bowl (100g) at a time. avoid grapes, chikoo.
regards!
