Brief Answer:
Should not really be a problem if he takes the medicine

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have carefully gone through your query. Let me remark that for worms in intestine, the medicine that is to be given is albendazole 400mg. Worms in the intestine could be responsible for poor nutrition but in your child's case celiac disease is the likely cause since it is associated with malabsorption. Metrogyl or metronidazole is an anti-amebic agent that is given in case of suspected anerobic or amebic infection. I assume that your doctor has some ground in prescribing the medicine. Hence you should perhaps give the medicine as directed by your doctor. If you start the medicine, please care to complete the 5 day course.
