Usually, periods have no relation with just a single dose of metronidazole 500 mg
Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear and thanks for your query to HealthcareMagic.
I have read your question carefully and understand your concern.
Metronidazole can cause irregular periods but only when it's taken for a long period of time and not only one dose (which you have done).
Hence Metronidazole doesn't seem to have any relation to your missed period.
Missed period can be due to stress or any other reasons.
If you have such period issue at other times also, please contact your Gynecologist for a thorough evaluation.
Just try to be calm and eat a balanced healthy diet and exercise daily.
Hope I have been helpful and please feel free for any further discussions.
Regards

Take a pregnancy test at home
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
If you have had unprotected intercourse than take a pregnancy test at home .
If it will be negative than all these signs and symptoms are due to premenstrual syndrome ,hence wait for breakthrough bleeding .
Hope I have been helpful and please feel free for further discussion.
Regards
