Question : Can montelukast sodium be used for a severe itch which virtually every other medication has not worked?

No, monteleukast sodium is not effective in controlling severe itch.
It is a leukotriene blocker and prevents inflammation mediated effects of leukotrienes and useful only in asthma and allergic rhinitis.

So It does not relieve severe itching.
