Question : Hello doctor, my child doctor prescribed oflocom 50 suspension 3 ml each time twice a day. She had fever and diahrea then light vomitting. She is now alright so can I stop giving oflocom? She is 10 month old and past 2 weeks she not taking any solid foods; she interested to have only breast milk and lot of water.
Brief Answer:
Stopping is not alright
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You should complete the full course of 5 days since antibiotics should not be stopped abruptly. Do not force-feed the baby. Give her what she wants. Things should be back to normal in a few days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Thank you doctor. I have started giving this antibiotic from Monday night onwards. I have skipped to give dose on Wednesday night and Thursday morning then again started to give from Thursday night. Is there any issues because I have skipped two doses in between? Yesterday she slightly had kind of prickly heat rashes but today it is better. I am worrying the rashes might be because of skipped antibiotic doses. Please advise.
Brief Answer:
Nothing needs to be done about it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
No worries about the skipped doses although I would not recommend such a thing in the future. The rashes are not related to the skipped doses and you need not worry.
Hope I have answered your query.
