Thank you for providing additional data.
Based on your new information, should know/discover first why you are having diarrhea:
- due to enteral nutrition via G-tube?
- any acute intestinal illness (viral? bacterial? protozoa?)
- antibiotics that are commonly used with enteral nutrition?
Depending on the cause, we can determine the right management therapy.
As you are having upper motor neuron disease, I do not advise to take Pepto Bismol on your own. Take probiotics and antacids for the upset stomach you are having.
Drink plenty of water with ORS.
It is common to have bouts of diarrhea when on G-tube; diarrhea will stop within 72 hours from the beginning. In case of severe diarrhea lasting longer, then, should seek medical attention.
