Question : I'm 19 years old and i had a miscarriage on October 10th of last week. I was 2 months pregnant. anyways after a week from the miscarriage, the bleeding stopped and my husband and I started to have intercourse but he uses the withdrawal method all the time. I know that doesn't prevent pregnancy but the thing is I've been in egypt here for 4 months now on vacation and I don't feel safe taking birth control until I'm back in XXXXXXX where I can get it proscribed by my doctor there. so my question is if i can take any medicine now that prevents pregnancy just incase the withdrawal method wasn't done correctly. I heard there is something called Plan XXXXXXX where you can take it 5 days after intercourse to prevent pregnancy.

Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Yes the withdraw method has high chances of failure.
It is better to use condoms.
If that too is not an option then you can use Plan B or equivalent emergency contraception pills within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
All the best.
