Brief Answer:
Wound care post plastic surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I recommend that you call the plastic surgeon's number promptly. When you call the number, you should be connected to the physician who is on-call for your doctor. Tell him or her what happened. I am recommending this not because it is necessarily a serious situation but rather because your doctor likely has a very specific protocol and you don't want the procedure you had done to fail.

Polysporin is an antibiotic ointment, and unless you were told to use it, I wouldn't do so. If the wound is closed, you might be able to use (clean, newly purchased) vaseline applied with a clean q-tip. That is my general wound care advice, but again, the plastic surgeon may have specific preferences, so do call his or her office.
