Brief Answer:
Do not prevent pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Both regesterone or gynaset are used to delay the periods but do not protect you against a pregnancy. It can cause some irregular spotting if not taken regularly. You can test your urine for pregnancy in case your periods are late. To delay the periods you need to start taking it at least 5 days before the expected date of periods. It can cause mild side effects like nausea, headache, breast heaviness, etc.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
