Brief Answer:
Rooibos tea can help improve cholesterol levels;not much triglycerides...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Rooibos tea is referred to XXXXXXX red bush. So far, it is known that it consists of Chrysoeriol, which is an antioxidant, shown to have inhibitory effects on hardening of arteries.

It is also responsible for the reduction in LDL and increase in HDL level. So far, no effect on triglycerides is known.

Now, you are saying to be using Lipitor, which is a statin. The use of statins is indicated in high cholesterol numbers. Statins (including Lipitor) won't have effects on triglyceride levels. I need to have your lipid profile to give a more specific opinion.

Apart medications, it is important to make changes in diet and lifestyle regimen.

Rooibos tea and other herbal remedies will have effects on improving your cholesterol numbers too.

All the best!
