Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Sazo(sulphasalazine) is used in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease and Rheumatoid arthritis not responding to other drugs.

Saaz also contains Sulphasalazine. Both contain the same ingredient. Any of these two can be taken but check the tablet strength.

Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count),purpura can occur as the hematological side effects of sulphasalazine (saaz,sazo).
