Question : Current scenario: administered 1/2 capsule of Hydrocodon 5-325 5o 90+ yr old mother at 5:47 am, and another 1/2 at 6:10 am. Not working as it should or how it has previously - - - - CAN We Administer TRAMODOL HCL 50 MG now, at 10 am or when? (I've not mixed these in the past. Use of Tramodol has been put aside but we may be at point where it is needed to alleviate back pain - has had kyphoplasty procedure, and we hope there has been no re-damage to those areas or new compression fractures arise)
Brief Answer:
Tramadol
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
I am sorry to hear that you mother is in so much pain following her compression fracture and kyphoplasty. You already gave her 2 doses of hydrocodone without relief and wondering if you can add tramadol. The answer is yes. I would still watch over her to make sure she does not become too sedated with the combination. You can give it to her now if you wish. Sorry about the delay in answering your question
I hope this helps
