Brief Answer:
Appears reasonable to resume

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for your query. Both Ativan and Tranxene belong to the same family of compounds, if you have discontinued the Ativan for a few days, it appears reasonable to bridge to the previous medication; like you well mention, starting at a lower dose such as 7.5 mg is reasonable. Monitor response and alert your prescribing provider about your transition plan.

Hope this helps, wish you the best,

I did take 1/2 of the 7.5mg Tranxene and felt a little better but very hyper, not much sweating, but a taste of wax in mouth that I have had since the beginning?
Should I take another 1/2 tranxene later around 5 pm and tomorrow take a whole one of 7.5mg?????

A little shaking, I think from being so uptight about this whole situation. Do you know anything about Tranxene being discontinued soon?? I have heard this from mypharmacy and don't want it to be true. This medicine has kept me going for so long, I don't want to take the generic I got a bad reaction years ago from it.

Thank you again.

Brief Answer:
Reasonable to go back to baseline 7.5 mg

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

I believe that since you tolerated the lower dose, you can go to the original 7.5 mg that you were taking. I have not heard myself about discontinuation of this medication, so hopefully they are just rumors.

Wish you a blessed Labor Day.

Hi Felt a little nauceous this morning and had a lot of gas??? I felt better after my shower and then took the 7.5 Tranxene. It is now 1:50 PM and I feel a little up-tight and disconnected. My body feels shakey and I think I am thinking about the situation too much.

I will take another tonight, I guess around 6:00PM do you think that is wise??
I want to get back to normal but my body doesn't want to. I hope this doesn't sound silly to you but I'm afraid to go out thinking I will not be able to walk straight. I am going to do things around the house and not think about this and maybe it will get better.

What are your thoughts????
Thank You very much

Brief Answer:
15 mg is probably too much

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX

Thanks for the follow-up. I would try additional relaxation techniques such as warm bath tub or shower with aromatic salts, then listening to soothing sounds of nature such as rainforest, since probably an increase in dose would put you at risk of falls, decreased mentation, etc.

Best regards
