Can Trapic And Femovan Be Taken Together?

Question: dear sir. my wife suffering from heavy monthly menstrual bleeding up to 10 days and prolonged another 4 days to subside. Doctors prescribed Trapic 500 mg tablets two numbers three times for five days. she had been taken past five years. then she stopped taking past two years while she was under the treatment for dengue fever. now she is looking anemic and approach the doctor and advice to take the same Trapic 500 mg tablets along with iron supplement and then hormonal tablets of 21 days pack femovan. Is it correct, shell we take the TRAPIC and FEMOVAN together. please advice.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Trapic 500 is tranexemic acid which is given to reduce the flow of bleeding during menstruation.
Femovan is a low dose oral contraceptive pill which is also given to regulate the periods and decrease the flow during periods.
Both of them can be taken together safely. Trapic has to be taken only for 3-5 days during the periods, while femovan has to be taken for 21 days.
