Can Trazodone And Prozac Be Taken With Abilify?

Question : Iam taking trazodone for sleep 100mg and prozac 60mgs a day, now the doctor might add abilify iam little afraid to take it thinking it is to much . Iam also taking buspirone 15 mg plus other meds including meloxicam 15mg. I have never wanted to take any medications. Iam 75 years old. What do you think?

I understand your worries being on several medications. Honestly, you should not be on any medication if there are any other chances of addressing your concerns/disease without drugs. If you think you are not feeling too terrible and can go without drugs, then drop some of these drugs. If you think the drugs are for real needed and they have been of great benefits to you, then please go ahead and accept them knowing that the benefits outweigh the risk.

I will also like you to tell me a bit about your health condition. What are your symptom/concerns and how severe are they? If they are tolerable without medications, then keep away from medication for every medication has an unwanted side effect in addition to the good work that it does.

In all, ask yourself if you can do without medications and should the response should be a yes, then stay away and if it is not a YES, please consider staying on your medications as the benefits would surpass the fears and possible side effects.
