Can Zantac And Prilosec Be Taken Together?

Question: is it safe to take 300mg of zantac and 40 mg of prilocec at once for bad acid reflux??

You are reporting to have used 40 mg prilosec and 300 mg zantac.

It is safe, you can use it for a couple of days or weeks.

In casese like severe acid refluxs you can use
prilosec 40 mg twice per day and zantac 300 mg at bed time.

It is important to note that lifestyle has a profound role is menagament af acid Reflux.

thank you and I understand. the reflux has caused a big sore on the back of my throat and seems to have impacted my saliva glands and saliva production as well as excruciatingly painful and dry sinuses

With regard to sore throat , yes it may be related with acid reflux. Treatment of acid reflux will improve throat sores symptoms.

On the other hand there is unlikely for acid reflux to impact saliva glands and saliva production.
So to my opinion you need to exam salivary glands with physical examination by ENT or with face MRI.
Please discuss that with your ENT.

To get a fast relive from acid reflux I would recommend to :
- start to use domperidone and antacids too
- use two pillows when you lay down
- eat often and small amount of meals
- avoid coffee, energy drinks, carbonated drinks, alcohol
- don't lay down immediately after meal, wait 3-4 hours
-increase physical activity
- avoid unnecessary stress
