Tancodep 5 contains two medications and one of them is antidepressant and other is sedative. I mean to say that imipramine helps in depression while diazepam helps in sleep so basically tancodep 5 contains two medicines for two different purposes.

If you no more suffer with depression than going for zolfresh is well accepted option and side effect profile is much mild than Diazepam 5 mg which was part of tancodep 5 mg.

In case depression is still part of your symptoms I do not think zolfresh alone can help you. Zolfresh only helps with sleep and there is no role of zolfresh in depression which is taken care by imipramine which was part of tancodep 5 mg.

As stated above Zolfresh is quite safe medication and not have much side effects. In other words there are no specific side effects of zolfresh in addition to general side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache. Few of the people have increased dreams and abnormal sensations with zolfresh but most people tolerate well.

1. Yes oleanz also have sedation properties and helps in sleep but I do not think it was used for sleep in your case. Most of the time we use it as augmenting agent to antidepressants.

2. I do not think Yes. As stated above when the augmentation purpose is over most of the time psychiatrist try to remove it from the prescription. So it can be said that when you are stable with current prescription an attempt will be made to remove oleanz from prescription.

3. No, it is not so. Oleanz is used in multiple psychiatric and medical conditions and suppression of sounds is not the only indication.

4. Unlikely after a period of three months or so. I mean to say that you need to continue it for initial three months and than it can be removed.
