Brief Answer:
Chest pain is main characteristic of heart attacks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my advice.

The most significant sign of a heart attack is chest pain. Chest pain may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and sweating but chest pain is the first and most important sign. You also may experience shortness of breath. You also should check blood pressure and pulse.
If you still suspect that it may be a heart attack.
As you describe the signs I believe it may be gastritis.

Hope I have answered the question.

Thank you very much, Dr! If it is gastritis, what can he do to relieve his dizziness and nausea? He can barely take sips of water without feeling like vomiting and sometimes doing so.

Brief Answer:
Take reglan for nausea and vomiting

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I can recommend you to take reglan (metoclopramide) to stop vomiting. Also after that you can take lots of fluids and water in order to keep hydrated.
Also you can use omeprazole a ppi that lowers stomach acidity in case of gastritis.
