Question : Can cancer be detected via blood tests; if so, is it specific cancers or all cancers?
Brief Answer:
blood screening for cancers.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Cancers screening be detected by blood tests, that too specific cancers. Not all cancers. Mind you this is only screening and not confirmatory tests.
E.g CA125 antigen for ovarian cancer and PSA prostate specific antigen for prostate cancer in men.
Technology is growing now and we can be hopeful that a single blood test can detect the proteins that cause cancer in future.
