Question : i fainted earlier today due to heat, hit my head on a metal post- behind my left ear. It isnt bruising too bady, should i get checked? Vitals were good

I dont think that medical attention is required unless there was loss of consciousness,vomiting,nausea or dizziness or hear loss. You should just rest,avoid lights and noise for few days and look for signs that I 've mentioned. Wish you good health. Regards
