Question: Can a food allergy cause itching but no hives or welts ? also can it cause itching on one finger and one shoulder ? The itch on the finger stopped after scratch

I don’t have any food allergies. I ate shrimp and pork roast, salad, and potatoes. If it were allergy would itching always been accompanied by hives or welts? Also where would itching typically present? My last question would it resolve on its own with no medication? Thank you so much.
