Question : Hi can a miscarriage tissue biopsy that was removed by surgical management thats being checked for molar pregnancy from a 2/3 week pregnancy show if the mother has hsv2 on the biopsy results

hsv2 cannot be detected on HPE.

Thanks for the query,
It is not possible to detect herpes on histopathologic examination of the molar pregnancy tissue removed by surgical evacuation. It can be detected only by blood test for hsv 2 igG and IgM antibodies testing.

Can the biopsy show abnormal cells associated with hsv2 ?
Also is hpe the method that is used in UK on the biopsy?

No , biopsy of molar pregnancy will not show any hsv 2 abnormal cells at all.
Yes, every biopsy is subjected to hope examination to confirm the diagnosis.
