HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

No, mitral valve ' leaks' are not associated with back pain.

There are 4 valves in the heart. The mitral valve is one the left side of the heart and separates the upper left part (the atrium) from the lower left part (the ventricles.

Blood comes from the lungs into the left atrium , passes through the mitral valve into the left ventricle. From the left ventricle it then goes out to the body.
The valve is suppose to allow blood to flow in one direction only

When the valves are not working well, blood can flow backwards. IN the case of the mitral valve, some blood goes back from the left ventricle through the mitral valve back into the left ventricle.

It can cause fatigue, shortness of breath, palpitations but it is not associated with back pain

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
