Question : can a multiple tooth infection/abscess also infect the sinus & ear also? what type of antibiotic wold need to be prescribed? can a penicillin prescription cure the infection? what dose would be needful? also, is there a pain reliever that can adders my pain? ive been taking 3 ibuprofen every 4 - 6 hours: it barely helps, what would you prescribe? im double checking for my symptoms: i have a consultationin about an hour.. with a doctor.

I am so sorry to hear about this tooth infection. The sinuses are very close to the teeth and allow for easy infection spread especially not well managed. The preferred antibiotics are those against anaerobes such as metronidazole/rovamycine. Penicillins are not the primary drugs for tooth infection. There are powerful pain medications but you will need to get a script from your doctor for this. I will suggest you add 1000mg of Tylenol every six hours for better and more effective pain control before you get to see a doctor.
