Question : I recently had a cartilage based sarcoma removed by surgery from my sinuses. I was told this was a very rare cancer; only 100 cases have been reported. What is the chance that it may recur and what has been the outcome of other cases?

I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and surgery.

although the tumour in this location is rare we know about it's behaviour in other parts of the body and should be able to extrapolate from those studies.

if this was a Chondrosarcoma and it was completely removed and you have no spread of the tumour to anywhere else in your body you can expect a 75 percent chance of cure.
