Can Abutment Being Placed On An Implant?
Question: I have a question about an abutment being placed on an implant. Dentist is going to try a stock abutment vs. a custom made one. Should the stock replacement abutment turn out to be uncomfortable, are abutments easily transferrable - easy to remove?

I read through your query. I must say that both abutments doesnt have relation to comfort for the patient. Stock abutments are used when the angulation is parallel n custom made is used when you have to correct the angulation of the prosthesis. It doesnt have any relation to comfort. Doctor, one last question for u and thank u for all your help. A week ago, I had Kenalog steroids injected into gums and soon after injection, the bridge I have is now falling out.
Apparently, the injection did something to alter the fit. Is this something that is temporary and will gum go back to original shape?

Hii thank you for your followup query. I read through your query and I must say that the effect on the bridge is temporary and it will come back to old fit within few weeks time. Kenalog injection is given for some inflammatory reaction to the gums. So it might have had some effect to the bridge which will be fine within few weeks. Hope you understood what I meant.
