Question : I am scheduled for a MRI of the abdomen and pelvis, both with and without contrast, would this be able to tell if I have a hiatal hernia ? Also I have had nissen fundoplication, would it be able to tell if this is intact also ?

Yes, this test should tell if there is a hernia and if stomach is in right place and attached to the diaphragm.

However, gastroscopy is the right test to diagnose it.
