Brief Answer:
Regarding HPV
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for asking.
I am Dr. Kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern.
Currently, there is no approved screening test to detect asymptomatic Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection in a male.
HPV is usually taken care of by the body's own immunity and most of the infected Individuals are able to eradicate infection by 22- 24 months.
Hope this answers your query. Please feel free to ask further queries if any.

thanks, are sexually transmitted diseases usually asymptomatic? what are those diseases that cannot be detected in STD screen tests?
Brief Answer:
Regarding STDs
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
STDs can be asymptomatic. However, they can present with symptoms like painful genital sores, genital growth like warts, urethral discharge, burning micturation. When a patient has symptoms or signs, clinical examination is usually sufficient to diagnose an STD. However, for asymptomatic STDs, screening is usually able to detect most of the common STDs like Genital herpes, syphilis, HIV, gonorrhoea and chlamydia if it is done serially at 4 weeks and repeated at 12 weeks from the risk exposure episode.. Apart from HPV infection in males which gets diagnosed only on clinical examination when the patient develops visible genital warts, most other STDs can be detected on screening tests.
