Brief Answer:
No possibility of AIDS or hepatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will by answering your query.

Based on your medical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Endoscope is always sterilized before using it on other patients.
2. However, unless there is a mucosal injury during the procedure, the infection cannot happen. If ingested, the acidity in stomach will kill of both viruses.
3. You are prescribed antihistamines to reduce the irritation feeling.

Do not worry, until now, endoscope have never spread AIDS. Only bacterial infection are common after endoscopy.

Any further queries, happy to help again.

Hi Doctor, Thank you for the information.
As i checked into my report as per what the ENT specalist has given, he has done direct laryngoscopy on me without any anaesthesia. He made me to sit down on a chair and asked me to open mouth to check my mouth using a scope that is connected with a camera and using which he can see the same on a monitor. So is this procedure correct. He asked me to have anestisa if am not comfortable in doing so but as i was ok with the tube going to my mouth he didnt give me any anaesthesia and so he was able to insert the tube directly into my mouth. I would also like to know if there is any risk involved in this.( i mean the exposure like hepatits, Hiv etc) . He has done this to me to my right side of the neck. I was sorry to say that it was endoscopy that was preformed on me in the pervious question as there was a big board there it was an endoscope room and also first time doc told me that he need to perform endoscope on me. So again i went to the doc yesterday with the report to ask what was done as the report says it is laryngoscopy. so told me that he has done direct laryngoscopy. Thank you Doctor in advance.

Brief Answer:
Risk is very less.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Good to know it was not an endoscopy and the risk is very less. The risk is always present with all invasive tests.
Importantly, you should know HIV does not have any curative therapy. Atleast, you do not have exposure. Do not worry.
If still worried, get the tests done.

Brief Answer:
Low chance of pus.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

My opinion is as follows:

1. Get a complete hemogram done. If you have any sepsis or pus, you would increase in neutrophil count of more than 90%.

2. Clinically, you have no high grade fever. Your weakness appears to be secondary to disturbed sleep and low food intake.

3. How is your food intake? Any problems with solid or liquid diet. Stools? Do let me know for further assistance. Also get a complete blood counts or hemogram done

Do get back with tests and answers for further opinion.

So is this that there is sepsis thats fatal i belive and is dangerous. so is there a cure for that. yes i dnot have fever. yes i think it can be cause of pus. When i eat solid food then i have this issue but when i take liquid diet like apple juice or something i dont feel anything its clear. even if i eat the softest food like idli i am having this problem after 2 hours of eating. so i am not able to eat any solid food. and also when i am not eating anything for hours i feel that there is something clearly stuck in my throat. i mean the fish bone. right now i am having only apple juice, hot tea these things wont cause a problem to me. when i drink apple juice i feel normal after i vomit the mucus or pus. so that is the diet i am having right now (apple juice only). so as per you if it is sepsis do you operate on my neck or that can be taken care with medicines. or by doing endoscopy ..please advice

Brief Answer:
Not sepsis. Its only a feeling. Take curd rice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

1. Clinically you do not have any sepsis. However, it is treatable.

2. Apple juice only wont serve your needs, this is making you giddy and weak.

3. Fish bone which stuck in your throat, might have caused superficial injury leading to inflammation, which gives you the feeling of something stuck. It is only a feeling. Take banana, idli, dosa, milk shake, ice cream and curd rice. All these should go in easily.

4. If it is sepsis also, no operation is required on neck or elsewhere. You are given antibiotics for it.
For that you can get an complete hemogram test done, which will show if there is increase in neutrophils above 90% or not. If it is, then we can think. At present without fever, you do not have sepsis.

Hope it helps.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
