Can An Infant Be Fed While Experiencing Hiccups?

Question: my son is 22 days old.in aday he gets hick up for once or twice t day. do I need to feex hin during hick ips to syop that? Please advise.

Hiccup is due to contraction of the diaphragm.

It can come after drinking milk too fast or too full and air swallowing.

You burp the baby during feeding and after feeding and when changing the breast.

Occasional hiccup is nothing to worry.
