Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

Clay colored stool may be sign of certain gastroenterologic diseases but also may be seen after certain type of diet or fluids or enterocolitis. If this had happened just once and there are no associated signs such as blood in stool, pain, weight loss, then you should not be worried.

If this be persistent or these symptoms recur, then it may be sign of certain liver, pancreas or biliary diseases. Cancer is the last hing to think of, especially at your age and it would have some other symptoms. So I'd suggest to wait and see. If this will be persistent, then you need to check liver markers and do liver and pancreas ultrasound.

Wish you good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
hi

Detailed Answer:
It means that you should check bilirubin, AST,ALT and GGt levels and do ultrasound which will reveal if there are stones in gallbladder. Cholecystectomy is only permanent solution if there are stones and medications are commonly unsuccesful. Wish you good health. Regards
