Brief Answer:
Not a viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma'am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but a viral cold will not last for seven days and usually is self limited within 3 days.. So this is either a bacterial infection that will need an antibiotic or an allergy episode..
Bacterial infection is usually accompanied with ever and body ache and it needs to be treated with an antibiotic course such as amoxicillin for five days..
While allergy is usually manifested by headache with or without runny nose or cough .. allergy usually is not accompanied with fever and is treated by an antihistaminic as citrizine once daily before going to bed .. I hope you find this helpful.. if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion ..
