Can Colon Cleanse Be Taken Along With Harvoni?
Question: Hello: My doctor prescribed Havoni to treat my Hep C.
She told me not to take any herbs. I have taken Colon Cleanse by Western Botanicals- one per night, for many years and am never constipated.
I stopped taking it and after about 5 days of Harvoni, I can't go, no matter what.
what harm can come from taking Colon cCleanse: it contains: Aloe vera leaf, barberry root, Cascara Sagrada, Garlic Bulb, Senna leaf, Rhubarb root, Black Walnut hull, Clove Seed, Fennel Seed, ginger root, wormword herb and Cayenne Pepper Fruit.
No St. John's Wort.
Last night I took 2 Dulcolax and today used Glycerin Laxative Suppositories.
I am VERY uncomfortable....j

I understand your concern and sorry to hear about your problem
Lots of herb may interact with the intestinal P glycoprotein and cause decrease expected level of the Harvoni in the circulation.
There may be chance of interaction as colon cleanser contain herbs.
On regualr base you can take NUTRILITE Chewable Fiber Tablet as it does not contain herbs and regularize the bowel movement.
Drink lots of water (4-5 L/day)
Drink one glass of water before bowel movement
Do regualr exercise like morning and evening walk
Take more green leafy vegetables,fruits and grain in the diet
