Question : have a white bump on tongue in middle. Can to many cough drops cause swollen taste buds in one place?

I understand your concern. The white lump may be because of the cold or by an infection that has affected your immune system. I would not worry about this, it will pass after two-four days. Is is not caused by the cough drops or by a swollen taste bud.
