Hello again,
Thanks for writing back,
Fasting blood sugar of 167 is quite high, and does demand the need for medications. But I personally would suggest trying some lifestyle modifications first and then opting for medications as a last resort.
I would suggest you to do the following:
- Continue to keep up with the daily walking, but modify it to brisk walking rather than normal walking.
- Have regular timely small meals rather than having three main meals. This helps to regulate the amount of insulin released in your body.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid sweetened beverages like tea or coffee.
- Consume one glass of bitter gourd juice daily, as it is known to stimulate the release of insulin.
-Include more fenugreek seeds in your diet.
- Repeat blood sugar tests monthly or once in 3 months.
I hope this helps,
Please feel free to discuss further,
Regards
