Brief Answer:
Advises given on how to help with the symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking HealthcareMagic.

I read your question carefully and understand your concern.

Bloating and gas feeling in the stomach area can both be caused by bowel problems and issues with the stomach also.

Diverticulitis is generally thought to be caused by constipation so it is good you are using some extra fiber with supplements to help improve bowel function. Probiotics are good also to stabilize the bowel bacteria making it healthier.

It would be also good to try something to quiet down the stomach in case it might be the cause of your symptoms so you can try 3-4 days of Omeprazole 40 mg a day. Meanwhile, make sure you eat healthily: frequent small amounts of food, take fruits and vegetables and avoid fast food, fatty food, and pastries, avoid alcohol. Make sure you drink a good amount of fluids.

If you have strong pain that is worse when you move then this might still be due to the issues you already have with the diverticulitis and constipation. It would be good to see your doctor, in that case, to make sure it is not complicated, especially if you develop any fever or elevated pulse rate.

Also, if no improvement with the Omeprazole and despite having a good diet then you will need to see a doctor to have a check and verify the cause of the symptoms and treat you accordingly.

I hope this is helpful and answers your questions but please feel free to contact me in case more clarification is needed on this.

Kind regards,
